When Cassie revealed that she was having a baby with her boyfriend of less than a year Alex Fine, fans wondered about her former beau Sean “Diddy” Combs.
That’s because he and Cassie were together on and off for more than 10 years, and she began dating Fine just a couple of months after they split. But it turns out that Combs had kind things to say about the baby news.
Cassie made the big announcement Wednesday on Instagram in a photo of herself and Fine. “Can’t wait to meet our baby girl. Love You Always & Forever,” she wrote.
Fine also posted news about his unborn daughter and included a lengthy open letter that included promises to shower her with kisses and show up to every sporting event and dance recital.
On Thursday many believed that Combs took a shot at his ex by posting a sermon that had to do with being patient in life. Based on the comments underneath, some believe the rap mogul was explaining why he split with Cassie and never married her.
Whether that was the case or not isn’t clear, but according to his post on Friday it doesn’t seem like Combs is bothered much
“Congratulations @Cassie and Alex. I wish you all nothing but love and happiness. God bless ❤️❤️❤️ L O V E,” he wrote.
Apparently, when Combs and Cassie dated, the mogul indirectly hired Fine to be her trainer, which is how Cassie and the fitness buff met. It’s also been said that Cassie began fooling around with Fine while she was still with Combs, which she reportedly denied.
Under the 49-year-old’s post about Cassie and Fine, a lot of folks gave him compliments.

But others thought he was actually hurt about the pregnancy and was faking it.
