It’s clearly been a rough few months for expectant mother and “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Kimbella Vanderhee without her helpmate next to her side.
Throughout season 9 of “LHHNY,” people witnessed Vanderhee having a hard time accepting her rapper husband Juelz Santana‘s recent prison sentence. Earlier this week, she explained to fans that it’s been hard for herself, their two children and family not having the Dipset rapper around.
“😔🙏🏾 There’s NOT a day or night that goes by that I do not miss my husband!” she wrote in an Instagram post, along with a picture of Santana and a person who’s believed to be his prison mate.
“This challenge has been SO challenging for me, for my kids, for the family! I know everything happens for a reason and I’m letting GOD do his work and lead the way,” she added.
Vanderhee said her and the children travel hours away from their home to visit the rapper behind bars quite frequently .
“I travel to Virginia every other week with my children to see my husband so they can spend quality time with their father, it feels so good to spend those hours with him during our visits, It’s not easy but I know that is what I’m supposed to do!” she continued. “It’s tough not having my husband by my side these past 3 months!! … Please continue to pray for my husband and our family during this time, we appreciate all your love and support! 💜.”
Fans offered up their prayers and well wishes to Vanderhee.
“This made me cry 😢. You have stayed down and by that man’s side. I admire your strength and mind and ❤️. He’s blessed to have you 🙏🏾🙏🏾.”
“Praying 🙏🏽 for you and sending positivity your way ❤️ be strong for the kids and hold your head up.”
“❤️❤️ many prayers @kimbellasworld!!! You are strong, beautiful, passionate and loyal. The hard times will pass and you and Juelz will be back together again raising them beautiful children!!!”
Even former “LHHNY” star Mama Jones, the mother of rapper Jim Jones, Santana’s Dipset group mate, commented on Vanderhee’s post and wrote, “I have nothing but love for you and your kids and your husband.”
Last December, the “Clockwork” rapper was sentenced to 27 months behind bars after pleading guilty to weapon possession by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. In March 2018 he attempted to sneak a loaded gun in his luggage onto a flight from Newark Airport. He was initially looking at a total of five years in the slammer.
During last season of “LHHNY” Santana said the hardest part about going to prison was leaving his family.
“Talking to my kids about this situation and watching them get all emotional just crushes me,” he said. “So whenever your kids is hurting parents is hurting even more if you’re a true parent.”
