Fantasia’s Daughter Is All Grown Up and Graduating From High School — See the Photo!

Fantasia’s daughter just accomplished something her mom didn’t get to do when she was her age. The singer’s 17-year-old just earned her high school diploma, and Fantasia proudly shared a picture from the moment on her Instagram page recently.

In a simple Instagram post on Thursday, Fantasia uploaded a photo poising alongside Zion Quari Barrino and Zion’s father, Brandel Shouse.

“Proud Parents @onlyzion_ I’m So Very Proud Of you,” Fantasia captioned the May 16 image.

A separate post included several photos of Zion with her friends. A beaming Fantasia captioned it with the following.

“Zion❤️ You changed my Life, you made all things right and at the time when most thought it was the End-for me when I became pregnant. It was really the beginning of a Beautiful Journey and now Look at ‘you’ look at that smile. #proudmom,” the singer said.

In response, fans of Fantasia heaped on the praise for the teen’s moment.

“Congratulations on such a happy occasion in the life of your daughter. Priceless❤️🎓”

“WAIT!…..WHAT?! When did THIS happen? She was just a little girl watching her mommy smash American Idol lol. Congratulations!!!’

“@tasiasword first off this is amazingly crazy cause I still see the baby u brought on stage on idol. Why does time fly so fast, whyyyy am I so old now 😩. This crazy, congrats.”

“Wow she graduated already !! Congratulations beautiful young lady !!”

“Beautiful. Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾”

“Wow….. ZION, Congratulations you deserve it… And FANTASIA, I’m so proud of you. You know why because who is next to you all. So EXQUISITELY BEAUTIFUL & JOB WELL DONE.”

Fantasia, who shot to fame in 2004 when she became a finalist on the third season of “American Idol,” did not get to take such a photo as a teen. The vocalist dropped out of high school in the ninth grade at 14 and became pregnant at 17. On her former VH1 reality show “Fantasia For Real,” the star was candid about getting her GED.

“I’ve been talking about it for so long. I have a lot of young people who look up to me, like my 15-year-old brother and 7-year-old daughter. It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do,” she said.

In 2010, a 26-year-old Fantasia earned an honorary diploma and walked across the stage in a cap and gown as part of the Greensboro, North Carolina, Andrews High School’s graduating class, according to WFMY.
