#BlackExcellence: Louisiana Twins Rack Up $2.7M In Scholarship Money, Plan to Study Civil Engineering

Out-of-pocket college expenses are known to break the bank, but a set of twins from Shreveport, Louisiana, won’t have to worry about that after racking up $2.7 million in scholarship money.

Captain Shreve High School seniors Brin and Nial Wilson each have earned more than $1.3 million in academic scholarships, the Shreveport Times reported. Brin accumulated a whopping $1,393,012, while brother Nial received $1,335,788.

Both young men will attend college in the fall and plan to major in civil engineering.

According to KSLA 12, the brothers have been recruited by several notable colleges across the U.S., including Morehouse College, Loyola University, St. John’s University, and Louisiana Tech University, just to name a few.

The Wilson twin have brains and brawn, and have each received athletic scholarships to play football. Nial has four offers, from Judson University in Illinois, Culver-Stockton College in Missouri, McPherson College and Sterling College in Missouri. Brin has an offer from Knox College in Illinois.

Both teens have been named to the LHSAA 2019 Bowling All-District 2nd Team and earned the Captain Shreve’s Distinguished Scholar Award, KSLA 12 reported.

The brothers haven’t yet decided on what school they’ll attend.
