La La Anthony Admits to Being that Embarrassing Basketball Mom at Her Son’s Games, Other Moms Can Relate: ‘Me All the Way’

La La and Carmelo Anthony seem fully invested in their son 12-year-old Kiyan’s hoop dreams.

They often post highlight videos that display his skills, and the “Power” actress recently showed her NBA veteran husband teaching their boy his signature jab step. Mrs. Anthony also gives updates on the progress of her son’s team on occasion.

In fact, the actress cheers for Kiyan so hard that he gets embarrassed about it and doesn’t want to take a photo with her at games. And to emphasize that point, the actress posed with a cardboard cutout of her son and shared the photo with her 8.5 million Instagram followers.

“When being a basketball mom goes too far 🤣🤣🤣🤣Kiyan is so f$%kin EMBARRASSED!!!🤣🤣he won’t take a pic with me!! !! 🤣🤣,” wrote the passionate mom.

People seemingly loved the post and many said they could totally see where the mother-of-one is coming from based on how they act at their child’s hoop games.

“Me all the way!” one follower wrote.

“The struggles of a basketball mom😩🤦🏽‍♀️ lala I sneak and take mine 😂😂,” wrote another.

“@lala this is me I am her 😂 #sportsmoms,” a third person commented.

There were also a lot of women who said they weren’t mothers yet but planned to be just as passionate as Mrs. Anthony whenever it happens.

“This will be me I swear,” one person predicted.

“Ima be this extra when I have kids 😂😂,” someone else wrote.

As for Melo, he’s still in NBA limbo and has yet to be signed by a team. But with about six months before the 2019/2020 season begins, a deal could be made or he could announce his retirement.

Since Melo was traded by The New York Knicks in 2017, he’s played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets but never gelled with either offense.

Kiyan, meanwhile, plays on his dad’s New York City AAU team the Black Ops Cadets.
