‘You Look More Like Her Sister’: Tami Roman’s New Selfie With Daughter Lyric Has Fans Raving

A new photo “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman shared to her Instagram page recently has fans marveling over how much her eldest daughter resembles her.

On Wednesday, April 24, Roman posted a sun-kissed selfie of the mother-daughter duo to her social media account. The 49-year-old had her arm wrapped around 24-year-old Lyric Anderson’s shoulder.

Anderson and Roman had just got done filming a promo for the annual VH1 Mother’s Day special “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms.”

“Had the pleasure of appearing in a commercial with my oldest @lyricchanel for this years Dear Mama celebration. Be sure to tune in MONDAY May 6 at 10/9cst on @vh1 #DearMamaVH1 #ProudMama #ThankYouGod,” Roman said in the caption.

Fans were amazed about the resemblance between the two.

“Twinning 😍🤩❤️”

“Pretty Twinssssssss.”

“@tamiroman wow you look more like her sister 💕💕”

“Twinning ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Roman, who also has a younger daughter, 22-year-old Jazz Anderson, seems to be making “Dear Mama” a yearly tradition for herself and her oldest child. She and Lyric appeared at the third annual event last year, where they soaked in performances by Jhené Aiko, Bobby Brown and Patti LaBelle, to name a few.

The event is meant to celebrate mothers of stars who have contributed to their success. This year, Ashanti and H.E.R. will perform to commemorate their mothers. Plus, Ciara will be on hand on behalf of #SeeHer to honor mothers for the progress they’ve made in pushing the organization’s mission of increasing accurate portrayals of women in advertising and media. #SeeHer also strives for promoting gender equality.

“Dear Mama” is set to take place at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Outside of the television special, which airs on the Viacom-owned cable network next month, Roman is also prepping for the return of “Basketball Wives.” The long-running reality show is coming back for its eighth season in June, and after much speculation from fans questioning if Roman will resume her role on the show, she’s confirmed she’s coming back.

“Sometimes contracts hold you to certain situations, and I actually love filming ‘Basketball Wives,’” she said at the NAACP Image Awards red carpet earlier this month. “I just had to make sure that it was in an environment that I would be comfortable in. They kinda promised me that, and so, contractually, I’m back.”
