Wendy Williams Files For Divorce From Kevin Hunter and Removes Wedding Ring

After many have been begging her to do so, Wendy Williams filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Hunter, after being married for over two decades.

The talk show host’s attorney confirmed the news with Page Six, and, according to a source, Hunter was served at 6:30 a.m. Thursday on the set of “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Plus, TMZ reports that extra security was present in case Hunter lost his temper, but he actually remained calm. In fact, the insider said he isn’t fighting the split at all.

“Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together,” the source explained.

Williams didn’t address the divorce on Thursday’s show, but she didn’t wear her ring either, which comes almost a month after she said it “Ain’t going anywhere. Not in this lifetime.”

The divorce news also follows longtime rumors that Hunter was physically abusive and unfaithful to Williams with a woman named Sharina Hudson, who reportedly delivered a baby last month. Hunter is said to be the father of the newborn, although that’s yet to be confirmed.

Last month “The Breakfast Club’s” Charlamagne Tha God, who once worked with Williams on the New York station 107.5 WBLS, said he introduced Hunter to Hudson and thought he was a bad guy for a while.

Charlamagne also explained that Hunter is the reason that he and Williams don’t speak anymore. Charlamagne said Hunter thought he was trying to introduce Hudson to other men, and he became possessive.

“I just want to reiterate that Kevin Hunter is a sucker,” said Charlamagne. “He’s been a sucker for Sharina Hudson, aka Nicki, for a long time.”

Hunter never responded to “The Breakfast Club” co-host, and he’s been silent about the divorce papers, but a spokesman for “The Wendy Williams Show” released a statement on Thursday.

“Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years,” it read. “We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers.”

Williams has never admitted on her show that Hunter cheated with Hudson, but she did talk about him being unfaithful in a 2013 interview.

“I overheard some greasy talk from the next room. ‘Well, who’s he talking to,'” she told VladTV. “I heard what I heard and I was like ‘Wow, so this is how it’s going down?'”

Williams and Hunter met in 1994 and jumped the broom three years later. They have a son, Kevin Hunter Jr., who’s 19 years old. Hunter has also been Williams’ manager and a executive producer of her talk show.
