Gucci Mane wants people to use him as an example of how to get in better shape.
He posted an Instagram video over the weekend showing off his physique and revealed how much weight he lost. Mane also said anyone could do what he did.

“For people who ain’t in shape, people who ain’t healthy, people need some inspiration. I was 290 pounds, now I’m a 190 pounds. I lost 100 pounds,” he said, with his wife Keyshia Ka’Oir holding the camera. “So check this out: You can do it if I can do it. Use me for inspiration, ’cause I’m seeing a lot of y’all and y’all look terrible.”
Ka’Oir then chimed in and told her husband how good he looked, and Mane didn’t disagree with her one bit.
“I’m so fine I blow everybody mind,” he said.
Mane reportedly had dropped 50 pounds by the time he was released from prison in 2016 and seems to have dropped another 50 since then. His desire to motivate people may be working, because some admitted it in the comments.
“Looking great!!!! Yes, I’m inspired!!!! Congratulations on an incredible transformation!” someone wrote under the video.
But a lot of folks also wanted to know how the rapper lost 100 pounds, and some seemed frustrated that he left that part out. Meanwhile, others said they could lose that same weight too if their circumstances were different.
“Am I the only one that thought he was gunna say how he did it?” one person asked.
“Post your workouts then,” someone else demanded.
“I mean if I was rich this process would be A-LOT easier 😂,” a third person commented.
At the same time, plenty of people said they weren’t only inspired by the weight loss but by Mane and Ka’Oir’s marriage. People also gave the rapper’s wife much of the credit for his new look.
“LOL, I love them! So proud of Gucci not only losing weight but getting his life in order,” one of his followers wrote. “Keyshia…you did good.”
“This what happens when you with the right woman ❤️,” another person commented.
