Kenya Moore finally made her highly anticipated return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Sunday night, and although she supposedly wasn’t paid for the appearance, she certainly garnered a fierce reaction from Nene Leakes.
During Cynthia Bailey’s launch party for her Seagram’s Escapes peach bellini wine cooler, Moore made her grand entrance, much to Leakes’ irritation. When she arrived, Leakes promptly unleashed on Moore initially saying “I think a monster’s here.” When Moore made her exit, Leakes snidely said to Kandi Burruss, “She’s going to have a buffalo, isn’t she?”
The tension between Moore and Leakes began publicly in October 2018 when Moore hosted an Instagram Story Q&A. She said if given the choice to call, text or delete anyone, she’d delete Leakes. Ever since then, the two have traded barbs on social media, including Leakes sarcastically congratulating Moore on her baby and saying she deserves to be back on “RHOA.”
Moore largely paid no mind to Leakes last fall, but when it came to her jabs on the March 31 episode of “RHOA,” she hit back.
On Leakes’ claim that a “monster” had entered the building, Moore dropped bars from Nicki Minaj’s 2010 single of the same name.
“I think big, get cash, make em blink fast. Now look at what you just saw, this is what you live for, AHHHHHHH I’m. MuthaF****ng MONSTER @NICKIMINAJ #RHOA,” Moore said.
Regarding the buffalo diss, Moore responded by using one of Leakes’ catchphrases.
“I’m having a buffalo… I’m going into labor. I’m pregnant what’s her excuse… So nasty so rude. #RHOA.”
As for the nature of why Moore and Leakes’ issues run deep, despite Leakes saying on the show that it’s “a fake beef to get attention,” the new mom has indicated there’s more to it than that. But she’s not giving any details.
“I hold all the real tea #RHOA,” Moore tweeted cryptically Sunday night.
Meanwhile, fans have been taking sides concerning the tension between longtime “RHOA” star Leakes and Moore, who was booted from the show after last season, reportedly over contractual disputes.
“As much as I’m not crazy about Kenya, Nene’s remarks were very rude and she needs to get help with the personal issues.”
