It looks like Ashanti has been having a ball in Trinidad and Tobago.
She performed with Soca artist Machel Montano at Hasely Crawford Stadium on Monday Feb. 25 for Carnival, so the singer posted some videos of herself enjoying the festivities.
In one clip shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, March 4, the 38-year-old showed herself twerking up a storm in a tight pink dress, and people sure had a lot to say about it.

“video of you twerking had me picking out my own casket!!!” one person wrote.
“And she’s all natural,” wrote someone else.
“That thick thang Ashanti,” a third person commented.
But there were some who believed the “Rain On Me” singer was too old to be twerking, and there were others who said she should’ve been winding her hips, since that’s the right way to dance to Soca.
There were still a lot of people who came to her defense, however.
“She definitely not winnin. She is twerking,” one person wrote. “Either way she looks to be having fun. She just enjoying our culture.”
And that person was certainly right about Ashanti enjoying Trinidadian culture, because she called her visit and performance with Montano one of the best times she’s ever experienced.
“I can’t even explain the amount of fun I had!!!!! One of the best experiences Ever!!!” she wrote on Feb. 27. “@machelmontano we havin a winin party!!!! Lmaooo thankuuuuuu for everything!!! Trinidad Thanku.”
