Former NFL player and reality star Ed Hartwell recently jumped the broom for the third time, but this go-around he did it with Tonya Carroll, a woman who was allegedly his mistress.
Hartwell was married to “The Cosby Show” alum Keisha Knight Pulliam from 2016 to 2018 before that, but they had trouble just a few months into their marriage.
He and Carroll have a daughter named Sevynn Elíse, while Hartwell and Pulliam have a daughter, Ella Grace, who born on Jan. 23, 2017.
Hartwell was also married to former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Lisa Wu, who’s the ex-wife of R&B singer Keith Sweat.
News spread that the former NFL player recently tied the knot when Carroll posted a photo of herself wearing a hoodie with the words “Just Married, Mrs. Hartwell.” And based on the shirt, it appears the couple married on Sunday Feb. 17.
“#destiny 🥰💕 #madetoluvya 💋,” Carroll captioned the Feb. 18 post. She also changed her Instagram handle to “mrstonyahartwell.”
The next the new bride posted a photo of herself sporting an engagement ring and a wedding ring.
“Rest and Relaxation after a great night of celebrating one of the most Amazing moments in my life,” she wrote. “Life’s journey is never defined upfront but seemingly always worth the unknown journey!! #soinlovewithourlife 💕🥰 #MrsH💋”
To some it may seem like decades ago that Hartwell and Pulliam’s divorce made headlines in 2016.
At the time, they both accused each other of cheating, and Hartwell demanded a paternity test when Pulliam was pregnant. But it was proven in Feb. 2017 that he is Ella Grace’s biological father.
Still, on the day after Hartwell said he wanted a paternity test, Pulliam gave a tearful interview to “Entertainment Tonight” and denied ever being unfaithful. She also said Hartwell cheated just a short time after they exchanged vows.
“I have never cheated on him during my marriage. That’s not who I am,” she stated. “Early on in my marriage when I was faced with this, I was ready to leave. In the process, I found out I was pregnant.”
On the same day Carroll shared the “just married” photo, Pulliam posted a message to her Instagram page as well.
“Every girl deserves a guy that can make her heart forget that it was ever broken,”she wrote.
“Couldn’t have said it better,” one person responded.
“Say it Keshia,” wrote someone else.
