Kenya Moore Holds Up Her ‘Miracle Baby’ as Message of Hope to Barren Women Everywhere

Reflecting on how happy daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly has made her, Kenya Moore is telling would-be moms there’s no reason why they should ever dismiss their desire to start a family.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star uploaded a photo of herself and the daughter she shares with husband Marc Daly to her Instagram page Sunday, Feb. 10. The shot shows Moore lovingly gazing down at Brooklyn as she pulls up her sock.

“@thebrooklyndaly you make me feel brand new. Forget about age, what people say or even what the clock says… If this is what you want, God will give it to you.
#love #life #Godsplan #miraclesdohappen #fairytale #mother,” the 48-year-old first-time mom wrote in the caption.

The star’s remarks were welcomed by many of her fans who have struggled with infertility or waited until later in life to have children.

“That real talk! @thekenyamoore God bless you and your family! After 10 yrs of trying, my husband and I are expecting his first child. People kept asking, ‘What’s taking you so long to have another baby?! Why did you two wait til this age, your daughter’s 20 yrs old?! Etc…’ Everything happens in God’s time….”

“Motivation❤️, you give me hope. I’ll be 37 in May🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”

“I have battled endometriosis related infertility and broken relationships and your story gives me hope that one day God will bring it to pass ❤️❤️❤️”

“Thank you for saying this….I just turned 45 and I still have hope. 😍”

“@thekenyamoore RIGHT! people always say, ‘you’re/she’s too old’ or ‘girl you won’t have the energy’ but they are not God. Do they not think God will equip you to be a mother at ANY age. The blessings of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. #MiraclesDoHappen ❤️❤️❤️”

The RHOA alum is proof of her message. Moore has long expressed her dreams of having a family of her own, citing abandonment issues with her mother.

“No one really knows what it’s like to feel rejected and abandoned by someone who gave birth to you and who treated you so badly and who hoped you would fail,” Moore said to People magazine last year.  “For me to have a family of my own, to me, that’s what makes me feel like I’m at the pinnacle of happiness.”

Moore made certain that she would be able to realize her dream. She visited a fertility clinic in late 2017 and by the time the “RHOA” season 10 reunion rolled around the following spring, she revealed a baby was on the way.

Even then, though, the journey to giving birth was rough on Moore. She suffered from complications in her pregnancy and spent three hours on the operating table during what should have been a 30-minute emergency cesarean section.

But despite her life-threatening ordeal, Moore is proud to finally be a mother.

“This little angel … so beautiful. I feel so blessed. It’s all been so worth it,” she told the magazine of her “miracle baby.”
