As Apollo Nida’s fiancée continues to wait for him to be released from federal prison, she posted a throwback holiday video as she spent Christmas away from her man. But soon her joy was overshadowed by fans taking aim at the woman for previously moving in on Phaedra Parks’ former husband.
In a clip captured before the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” staple was imprisoned in 2014 on charges of conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud, Nida sings an off-key rendition of lyricist Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas.”
“Awe my baby…. A classic video, we’ll be updating this soon 😊 #merrychristmas from our family to yours ❤️,” the future Mrs. Nida, Sherien Almufti, wrote on Dec. 25, 2018.
In no time, commenters began accusing the star of being a homewrecker in Nida’s marriage to Parks, with whom he shares two young boys: 5-year-old Dylan and 8-year-old Ayden.
“Family 😂 sis you was having an affair with a man who was going to jail!! Do better! Happy holidays❤️.”
“It’s sad this girl only has years old photos and videos to post and repost from back when she was the mistress.”
“Why u keep proving that Apollo was cheating on his wife with you What does that do to your soul one-day his sons will see this, and they will be hurt by this. Than u post a Christmas video why continue to hurt kids that can’t hurt u back…”
But Almufti didn’t take the comments lightly. She swiftly hit back against a couple of haters.

Nida, who has three more years to serve in prison, was married to Atlanta-based attorney and former RHOA star Parks from 2009 until the divorce was finally made official in 2017. Since Almufti’s video was taken before then, fans believe Nida was stepping out on Phaedra before the split was finalized. And by Dec. 2016, Almufti posted a photo on Instagram wearing an engagement ring Nida crafted out of prison paper towels. Meanwhile, Parks made it clear she had no interest in dating until their marriage was officially over.
“I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to date until you’re legally divorced,” she told E! News in 2015.
Since then, Parks has begun dating again. After fans speculated her New Year’s Eve date, Chicago radio host Tone Kapone, is her man, he confirmed that was indeed the case on-air as he hosted “Dish Nation” last week.
“Yes, me and Phaedra are dating,” he said Jan. 2. “See, I told everybody. Now, can we all just go back to our regular lives?”
