Donald Trump Caught In Another Lie After Photos Reveal the Obamas’ D.C. Home Does Not Have a 10-Foot Wall Around It

Donald Trump is still battling with Democrats over the wall that he wants built between Mexico and the United States, so the government shutdown continues.

So far, as he normally does, the president has taken to Twitter to complain about the resistance he’s received, and now he’s being called a liar after tweeting one message in particular.

Donald Trump lied about the Obamas having a 10 foot wall in front of their Washington D.C. home.

To justify the need for the wall, Trump brought up former President Barack and Michelle Obama and said they have a 10-foot wall outside of their Washington home, so the U.S. needs something similar, just bigger.

He also referred to the Obamas’ home as a compound, and both claims turned out to be false.

“President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot wall around their D.C. mansion/compound,” he tweeted Sunday. “I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version.”

The Washington Post quickly took photos of the home and spoke to the Obamas’ neighbors, who said, yes, they have a fence, but it’s the same size as the others in the neighborhood. One person also described the fence as being “tastefully done.”

Photos show the wall is just about two to three feet tall, and a neighbor said the house is completely visible from the street. Photos confirm that one could even walk to the front door by using stairs.

In fact, besides a guard house outside the driveway that was set up for the Secret Service, the home appears pretty normal as far as security goes, and it’s nothing like the 10-foot walled compound that Trump described.
