“Love and Hip Hop: New York” viewers blasted Cyn Santana for hounding her then-longtime boyfriend Joe Budden to ask for her hand in marriage.
Santana and Budden dated for at least two years before welcoming their 1-year-old son Lexington into the world. However, during Monday night’s episode, Santana expressed the idea that she felt it was time for her and the New York rapper to take their relationship up a notch since they’d had a child together.

The 26-year-old gathered her two sisters together to help her drop a hint to Budden that she was ready to get married.
“Here I am with a baby and,” Santana says in her confessional while looking at her bare ring finger.
She then suggested that Budden drive his “dusty a–” to Zales and buy her a “ring.”
Budden responded to Santana’s proposal hounding by saying, “I will propose when I am ready and when I feel the time is right. And hopefully that’s when Cyn decides to take some of her wifely duties around the house a bit more serious.”
Social media agreed with Budden and slammed Santana for trying to force the rapper to marry her.
“Cyn has no clue what being a wife nor a woman means, she’s a filthy immature little girl! If a man wants to marry you, he’ll ask you!! 😭.”

One fan agreed with Santana and felt since she had had Budden’s baby, he should make her his wife.

Nevertheless, Santana’s wish to become Budden’s wife came true on December 19 after he proposed to the 26-year-old on at a holiday event in New York.
