Travis Scott Called a Traitor and Sellout For Playing the Super Bowl: ‘I Will Delete All Your Music’

Travis Scott is playing the Super Bowl, and a lot of people aren’t very happy about it.

The Houston rapper will take the stage with Maroon 5, who was booked some time ago and because the league has been accused of blackballing Colin Kaepernick, many Black folks have called Scott a sellout. So far people like Rihanna and Jay-Z have reportedly turned down to play the game’s halftime show because of Kap.

Travis Scott angered a lot of Black people by choosing to play the Super Bowl.

“Many artists have declined to do the halftime show because of the NFL’s stance on kneeling for the National Anthem,” someone wrote on Scott’s page. “Also, they’re still blackballing Kaepernick because of it, so him doing the show seems like he doesn’t care about what Kap stands for or kneels for. He doesn’t care about the police brutality in this country.”

“I was a borderline supporter,” wrote someone else. “You don’t even get paid to perform at the Supwr Bowl, so he’s a sellout for nothing.”

A lot of people also called for a boycott of the rapper’s music and said they were erasing all of his songs.

“Super Bowl is career suicide,” someone commented. “Unless you just want white supremacists as fans, then cool. But I will delete all your music off all devices, just like your brother in law.”

People also accused Scott — who has a baby with Kylie Jenner — of being so in deep with the Kardashian clan that he doesn’t care about issues like police brutality.

He hasn’t responded to the backlash at this time. Plus, it’s being reported that the NFL is still trying to secure other rap acts like Outkast’s Big Boi for the halftime show.
