Folks Compare Keyshia Ka’Oir’s Looks to a ‘Young’ Janet Jackson in Her Latest Photo: ‘Oh My God’

Social media users were amazed at how much Gucci Mane‘s wife Keyshia Ka’Oir resembled singer Janet Jackson.

Ka’Oir took to Instagram on Wednesday to promote a photo of her new holiday lip collection for her cosmetic line. In the image, she sported a subtle makeup beat with a glammed eye look, paired with her new red “Glitzstick.”

She wrote, “Get into this @kaoir #ShowNtell #Glitzstick💋 Great NYE product!”

Fans, on the other hand, were more fascinated by how much the star looked like Jackson. Folks began comparing the Ka’Oir’s cheekbones, nose and upper lip mole to Jackson’s and felt she was giving “Janet” vibes.

“Thought it was Janet 😍.”

“Janet Jackson vibes 😍 .”

“Resembles a young @janetjackson.”

“You look like Janet 😍😍😍😍 The resemblance 🙏🏾🙏🏾.”

“Omg so gorgeous you are like #goalsongoalsongoals hunty always on fleek Gyal you give beyond life ❤️ In this photo she favor Janet Jackson!”

Other people compared Ka’Oir’s looks to Jackson’s brother the late icon Michael Jackson.

“Oh my god, it’s Michael Jackson.”

“U starting to look like miachel n the face. Nose bout fall off 😭.”

Love and Hip Hop: Miami” rapper Trina also commented on Ka’Oir’s photo and complimented her on how beautiful she looked.

“Doll face 😍,” Trina wrote.

The 33-year-old mother recently sent social media into a tizzy after she was seen wearing a tight fitted glitter bodysuit that left little to the imagination. The daring- yet risque- attire left fans gawking.

“Beautiful and creative. You never ceases to amaze me with your innovative ideas❤️🔥,” one person wrote, adding “🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 🗣GO AAAWWWWFFF FAIRY HOOD MOTHER!”

Nevertheless, Ka’Oir was condemned by critics who were unimpressed by her glittery getup.

“I have to much class and morals and respect for myself and my husband to be on social media showing my beautiful body,” one woman wrote. “If she had God in her life, I do not think she would’ve thought twice about doing this. Not jealous, just need to keep things to the world imagination.”

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
