On Monday, Washington and Asomugha were seen out at the special screening for “If Beale Street Could Talk” in New York. Washington acted as host of the event, which included the film’s director Barry Jenkins and some of the cast.

Back in 2016, the “Scandal” actress told US magazine that she likes keeping her personal life private and doesn’t talk about it. “If I don’t talk about my personal life, it means I don’t talk about my personal life.” She continued, “That means not only did I not tell you when I was getting married, it also means if somebody has rumors about what’s going on in my marriage, I don’t refute them, because I don’t talk about my personal life.”

Although Washington doesn’t like to talk about her family, she does like to spend quality time with them. “I love being with my family,” she said. My days off look like homework, reading and watching stuff. Just hanging out. Doing things we love to do.”
