Bobby Brown is trying to put a halt to an upcoming Whitney Houston documentary titled “Can I Be Me,” and he’s filed a lawsuit against Showtime Networks and BBC, the producers and distributors.
According to reports, the documentary shows never-before-seen footage of Bobby and Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina when she was 15 years old, which is something the New Edition member never approved.

But while some might expect for Showtime Networks BBC to respond angrily, it was actually Bobby’s sister Leolah Brown Muhammad who issued a scathing message.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Muhammad — seemingly unaware that charities aren’t owned by individuals — alleged that Bobby doesn’t have ownership in Bobbi Kristina‘s Serenity House, a nonprofit that deals with domestic violence. She also said the singer’s wife, television producer Alicia Etheredge, is making money off her niece’s name.
Bobbi Kristina passed away in 2015 three years after her mother Houston died, whom Muhammad said was murdered.
“I’m just finding out that my brother doesn’t even own his own daughter’s Serenity House, and Alicia is literally the whole damn reason my niece could never even spend two minutes with her father after her mother was murdered,” wrote Muhammad. “I don’t know what’s wrong with my brother. They got him so messed up.”
Bobby’s sister also said she’s releasing a tell-all book about Bobbi Kristina and Whitney that she’ll give a way for free. Muhammad’s goal, she says, is to expose the truth surrounding both deceased women, because she’s constantly learning new information.
Muhammad clearly has set her sights on Bobby’s wife and her dealings with the Serenity House.
“It is so sad how people that don’t even give a damn about my niece Bobbi Kristina, but asking for money on her behalf and in her name,” she wrote. “Serenity House for what? My niece needed her life saved, not making money off her name after you damn kill her. May God shut down all this evil and wickedness … To know what I know and then have to see this crap.”
Neither Bobby or his wife have responded yet, and there’s no word on when the tell-all book will arrive.
