Simone Biles posted a beach photo of herself with boyfriend Stacey Ervin and it’s gotten a good deal of attention.
Like Biles, Ervin is also a gymnast and was a member of the University of Michigan gymnastics team. He’s currently the director and head coach at a Texas gymnastics center and has been seen supporting Biles during her competitions.
According to People, the two actually met three years before they began dating when Biles told Ervin he was “cute” on Snapchat. They finally went public with their relationship in 2017.
Of course, Biles is arguably one of the best gymnasts the sport has ever seen, already winning four gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Ervin, meanwhile, is a U.S. bronze medalist in the 2015 floor exercise competition.
So with both being full-time athletes and having ultra busy careers, they’ve admitted that they’re relationship comes after gymnastics.
“We already know in each other’s lives we don’t come first, and that’s okay with the both of us,” said Biles last year.
But they did have enough time to visit that beach and snap a photo, which received an incredibly high number of likes and comments. Not only for the actual picture but for what Biles wrote in the caption about Evans.
“We must learn who is gold and who is simply gold plated,” she wrote.
“Love this,” someone answered. “There are so many gold plated, but when you find the true gold don’t let go no matter what. They are hard to find.”
“Y’all are going to have some beautiful brown babies,” wrote another.
“This has got to be the best picture on Instagram right now,” a third person commented.
