Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have people gushing over a new video of their daughter. The couple had their baby, named Kaavia James Union Wade, earlier this month through a surrogate, and while they posted a few stills, this is the first video they’ve released.
In it, Wade appears to be leaving town for a while on a road trip with his Miami Heat NBA team, and he tells Union and his little one goodbye.
Then the new parents acknowledge how difficult it’s going to be with Wade away, and they share warm words before he departs.
“Hello, my queen and my princess,” says Wade to his wife and baby. “How are we? Mama, daddy is about to go.”
“I don’t like this,” Union says back. “I’m gonna miss you so much. I love you. Say I love you daddy.”
Folks were clearly touched based on all the comments, and they had nice things to say about the baby, as well as the superstar couple.
“@gabunion that smile. That’s real love. A mothers love. Welcome to the mommy club. So happy for y’all,” one person wrote.
“Congratulations, @gabunion,” wrote another. “I’m glad for you and Wade. Enjoy y’all new bundle of joy. She’s beautiful. Looks like the both of y’all.”
Meanwhile, the couple announced they’ll be starring in a special on OWN with Oprah Winfrey called “Oprah at Home with Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade & Their New Baby.”
“We wanna thank @oprah for coming into our home to discuss our new bundle of joy,” wrote Wade.
The OWN special airs on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
