Toni Braxton Suffers Near-Nip Slip When She Hits the Red Carpet

Toni Braxton showed up to the opening night celebration of the Life-Sized Gingerbread House Experience at The Grove in Los Angeles, Calif., Wednesday and one of her nipples nearly made an appearance too.

The star of Lifetime’s upcoming Christmas movie, “Every Day Is Christmas,” stepped out Nov. 14 to celebrate with the other stars of the network’s holiday films and nearly spilled out of her plunging striped top in which she clearly went braless.

Video footage of when Braxton first stepped onto the carpet shows the star as she made adjustments to her shirt to conceal her right nipple, but photographers still managed to catch a glimpse of her breast practically spilling out of her black and white shirt.

Should Braxton have come completely undone during the festive event, it certainly wouldn’t have been the worst incident of her clothing failing to play nice.

In 2013, the performer suffered a very serious wardrobe malfunction on stage in New Brunswick, N.J as she belted out her song, “You’re Making Me High.” While on tour that summer, Braxton sported a skimpy, sparkly dress that gave way to reveal her nude bodysuit and g-string-clad derrière underneath.

The star wound up taking the incident in stride, however. After a fan onstage offered her his jacket, she snatched the costume off entirely and continued performing like a pro.

She kept that same positive energy while recalling what happened to Yahoo a week later.

“It [took] a few minutes. I was dancing doing the one-two and I kind of thought, ‘Are my [breasts] exposed? I am feeling air?'” she said. “I remember that distinctly, so that’s why I held the top of the dress but then I realized the whole dress was coming apart. The whole dress just fell apart on stage!”

“I was uncomfortable. I can’t deny I was uncomfortable, but I made it work and the audience kind of laughed and it turned into a burlesque show. I should have charged more for the tickets. Who knew?” she added humorously.
