UPS recently fired a white employee in Sharonville, Ohio for showing up at work in Blackface as part of her Halloween costume.
A 25-year-old white woman showed up to work in blackface with enlarged red lips, a polka-dot head scarf, and apron that read “get in my kitchen” as part of a mammy costume.
An image of the woman was posted on Facebook by a co-worker on a Halloween who wrote in a now-deleted post, “Heyyy everybody I just want ya’ll opinion on this, she’s a white woman and she came to work at UPS in Sharonville, should she be fired?”

The identity of the white woman has yet to be revealed and UPS declined to disclose her name.
‘The company has strict policies against harassment and discrimination, and has terminated this individual’s employment with the company,” UPS media relations manager, Kim Krebs told The Enquirer in a statement. “UPS has no tolerance for hate, bigotry or prejudice.”
The mammy caricature is an exaggerated image and stereotype created by whites in the 19th century to poke fun at Black women who worked in a white family and nursed the family’s children.
The firing of the Sharonville UPS worker follows after numerous incidents involving white folks dressing in blackface.
In October, a student of Brigham Young University dressed in blackface as part of a Halloween contest who later apologized for his actions.
A Kansas City nurse lost her job after she and her husband sported blackface while dressed as superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z to a Halloween event last month.
NBC host Megyn Kelly actually defended white people dressing in blackface. The network later announced that Kelly was fired for her comments and that she would not return back to the show.
