“Love and Hip Hop: Miami” star Shay “Buckeey” Johnson recently gave fans an update on her health after being admitted to a hospital last week.
Johnson asked her Instagram followers to keep her in their prayers following a health scare. She shared a soundless video on her social media Saturday afternoon but judging by the post the incident was very serious. She captioned the video, “Pray for me 🙏🏽!” while lying in a hospital bed and wearing a medical gown and cap.
The 35-year-old later revealed to her fans in a series of Instagram stories that she had to have a blood transfusion. On Sunday night Johnson wrote, “Now I have to have a blood transfusion because my blood is low, I’m dizzy. So I have to have a blood transfusion.” Johnson, whose latest posts show she is still hospitalized, never specified her condition or the exact nature of her illness.

The reality star was surrounded by her loved ones, including her mother and brother. She shared a video of her brother dancing and acting silly, which seemed to keep her spirits up.
Johnson’s VH1 co-star and friend Amara La Negra visited her with stuffed animals and balloons in the hospital to encourage her to get well.
Johnson posted a video on her IG story thanking her fans and other people for being genuinely concerned about her.
“I really really appreciate you guys…I love y’all,” Johnson said in a video. “All of the comments and DMs I received on social media. I just appreciate your prayers. I just appreciate you period. Thank you. I love you all.”
