Whoopi Goldberg is not afraid to hit back at critics on “The View,” and that extends to her social media as well.
The daytime talk show host proved as much when she responded to a commenter who accused her of wearing fake hair.
The since-deleted remark was left under a photo of Goldberg posing with singer and actress Adrienne Warren, who stars as singer Tina Turner in “Tina: The Musical.” The show is performed at London’s West End and features the icon’s music in a play about her life.
“Just saw Tina On the West End. @adriennelwarren you inhale her! Thanks to you and this fantastic cast for a great ride!!!” Goldberg wrote on Instagram Friday, Oct. 12, as she posed alongside Warren in her Turner costume.
Many fans expressed excitement over the comedian’s visit.
“Too Epic!!”
“This is amazing!!! Keep inspiring the globe to be the best actors, performers and humans they can ever be! ❤️”
“Saw the show tonight and spotted you in the crowd….. an honor to see you from a distance and blown away by how great the show was 👍”
But one commenter managed to turn it into a negative, writing, “That’s a lot of fake hair in one picture.”
Goldberg responded by saying, “Mine isn’t fake. Do some homework.”
Fans instantly praised the simple clap back.
“Atta girl Whoppi. Set that dallas24 straight!”
“I live for a Whoopi clap back.”
“She’s is everything! 💕 @whoopigoldberg is #goals in so many levels!!”
And they slammed @dallas024_ for his remark.
“@dallas024_ there needs to be a troll emoji. Put your negativity back into the hole it came from.”
“Seriously Dallas??? You just HAD to be rude???? STFU.”
“@dallas what does your crown look like🤣🤣🤣”
“Dallas024 you lost the point if you didn’t have something nice to say next time shut to hell up.”
