Lil Wayne Delivers Epic Dose of Shade to Eli Manning After Quarterback Admits He Doesn’t Watch the Rapper

Lil Wayne isn’t here for the apparent shade New York quarterback Eli Manning threw at him and the rapper is airing out his grievances in a lengthy Instagram video.

The MC sat down with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on Sunday, Oct. 7 as the athlete discussed his team’s early season struggles  — including a 1-4 start — with ESPN. Wayne’s inclusion in the sit-down, where Beckham said he didn’t know if he had a problem with his Giants teammate, was widely panned by critics. When Manning was asked Monday, Oct. 8 about it he told reporters with comedic timing, “I don’t watch Lil Wayne much, so I missed a lot of him.”

Wayne, who is from Louisiana like Manning, hit back on Instagram Tuesday. The rapper said he had an imprisoned uncle who recalled seeing the Manning brothers putting in work at the schoolyard in the early hours of the morning.

“I’m the first one to back you up,” Wayne says in the fourth slide of the IG post below. “I tell people ‘He got two rings before his brother.’ And here you talk about ‘I don’t watch Lil Wayne much.’ That’s fine, that’s fine. I’m cool with you. I don’t care what you watch or what you listen to or nothing like that. But hometown love. You ain’t got to do me like that.

“I ain’t gone say nothing bad about you now, but anyway. You still hometown love,” he continues. “I f–ks with you, Eli. It’s all good. You ain’t got to watch much of me, but you can listen if you could. You probably need to the way you’ve been playing. You probably need to bang some Carter V before a game. Just a consideration.”

Fans who commented on Wayne’s video had his back.

“Man f— everybody who got something negative to say.”

“Well said 🐐 if anything you been around wayyyyyy longer who wouldn’t want to take a sit with you.”

“Eli just needs to retire. All the does now is scream in the pocket and throws it 2 yds to whoever’s open including the other team. @nygiants should have drafted a QB.”
