Former BET Host and “The Perfect Match” actor Terrence J is under investigation for allegedly crashing his car and leaving the scene of the accident.
According to the LAPD, on Tuesday they received a call at 12:30 AM that a McLaren sports car crashed into a tree on Ventura Blvd after hitting a parking meter. The Blast reported that the tow truck service found that the totalled sports car was registered to a Terrence Jenkins.
Eyewitnesses claim they saw a woman behind the wheel, thought to be Perkins’girlfriend Jasmine Sanders. Once the car crashed the woman and man in the passenger seat ran off. However, the model’s representative told PEOPLE Sanders was not involved.
“On behalf of our client, Jasmine Sanders, I would like to clarify that Ms. Sanders was not in the vehicle at the time of this morning’s accident and was in no way involved,” the rep told PEOPLE.
It still remains unclear if there were any injuries. The police are currently looking for surveillance video of the car accident.
Back in March, Jenkins shared a video to his Instagram of him showing off his new McLaren sports car. The caption of his video said, “Dark knight flo💨 @samsungmobileusa #withgalaxy.” The McLaren car in the video is identical to the car that was crashed into the tree.
If Jenkins is found guilty of the hit and run he could be possibly face jail time or a fine.
