Kenya Moore Claims ‘Drama’ on ‘RHOA’ Caused Her to Leave the Series

Kenya Moore has explained why she is not going to continue on with “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

The first-time mom-to-be gave the 411 on her exit to Bravo’s The Daily Dish just over a month before season 11 debuts.

“I have decided to take this season off to focus on my high-risk pregnancy in a healthy and drama free environment,” Moore said in a statement Monday, Oct. 1. “I thank Bravo for this amazing platform that has allowed me to grow, flourish and appreciate the value of what is truly important in life.”

“And to #TeamTwirl: Thank you for your loving and relentless support — you will see me soon!” the star added before noting that the bundle of joy she’s welcoming with husband Marc Daly by November.

Moore joined RHOA in season 5 and it was during that time that the Miss USA 1993 winner drummed up her penchant for stirring the pot. She also famously coined her catchphrase, “I’m gone with the wind fabulous,” which she uttered during the cast trip to Anguilla.

Along with some tense moments with Porsha Williams, Williams has also faced some other difficult incidents. They included the death of the grandmother who raised her and some scary moments with hot-headed ex-boyfriend Matthew Jordan, the relationship of which she described as “toxic” on the series.

And while Moore isn’t going to be sharing her journey to motherhood with Bravo cameras, that doesn’t mean she isn’t cooking up other ways to share her progress.

She teased to E! News last month that she has a plan for how fans can follow along with her as she becomes a mom to Baby Daly.

“I’m sharing as much as I can and I do have a project up my sleeves,” she said, Sept. 25. “They’ll get an inside glance into as many moments as I can and whatever I chose to share with the public, they definitely see a lot that I experienced from baby shower to birth to planning stages.”
