Eva Marcille is set to wed former Atlanta mayoral candidate Michael Sterling soon and she’s reportedly planning on letting Bravo cameras film the spectacle for use on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season finale.
Several sources told Page Six Friday, Sept. 28 that was the plan and noted that the long-time engaged couple is due to make things official in October.
No other details about the wedding were provided but an insider told the publication to expect the 11th season of RHOA to be a “doozy” with the absence of pregnant Kenya Moore and Shereé Whitfield along with the pregnancy of Porsha Williams.
Rumors swirled earlier this year that Marcille, who joined RHOA in season 10 as a friend of the show, would see her status get upgraded to a full-time peach holder as she replaced Whitfield or Moore.
In July, the Jasmine Brand reported that the former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant would be included in season 11 permanently. It said that her storyline would focus on her wedding plans and balancing life as a second-time new mom.
And before a cast photo was uploaded on Bravo’s official website including Marcille as one of the ‘wives, the actress/model’s inclusion on the show was given more credence. That’s because Porsha Williams commented on an Instagram post saying Marcille’s addition to the cast was confirmed.
“It’s lit 🔥,” Williams said.
But fans weren’t a fan of Marcille’s inclusion.
“Eva Marcille getting a peach she’s kinda boring tbh #RHOA ”
“Eva Marcille as an official cast member of RHOA is just 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😒😒😒😒😒😒”
“I’d much rather watch @KenyaMoore. Marcille added nothing last season. 😡 I don’t like this new development because I watched largely due to Kenya’s wit, playfulness, and compelling backstory. @Andy #RHOA @Bravotv.”
Marcille got engaged to Sterling in 2017 and the pair welcomed their first child together, Todd Sterling, Jr., in April. He joins Marcille’s daughter, Marley Rae, whom Marcille had in a previous relationship.
