Diddy Puzzles Fans After Including White Celebs in #Black100 Gala

Sean “Diddy” “Brother Love” Combs on Saturday shared the list of invitees to what appears to be an upcoming gala.

The thread began with no buildup, with “The Four” judge simply tweeting a list of prominent and mostly Black figures on Sept. 22. Among the names listed include JAY-Z, Beyoncé, and Donald Glover.

But it also included non-Black stars like comedian Ali Wong, singer and Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez and Khloé Kardashian.

“It’s on the way. Thanks for the inspiration. #Black100,” Diddy, who also shared an image on Instagram of names who he purportedly plans to honor, concluded the thread.

It’s not known exactly what this list is for, but the final remark after rattling off the list of 100 names indicates it’s a group of public figures who have helped push the culture forward.

But many seem to feel it’s a list of the most influential Black entertainers and celebrities, which has several confused about why there are so many non-Black stars included.

“So are we gonna ignore the fact that Diddy compiled a thread of 100 influential black people and put Khloe Kardashian on it? 😭😭 “

“Khloe probably on there cause you know they say OJ was her daddy 🤣🤣🤣 #Black100”

“But Machine Gun Kelly is white! #black100.”

“Diddy hashtag it #Black100 but got white folks in there. Maybe I read it wrong.”

Others wanted to know why other prominent Black stars were not included on the list.

“Dude………….dude………..dude………..dude………seriously……….you…….leave..out…J.Cole…..are…you…kidding…me???? Smh……@JColeNC I’ll add your name to the list!! How about that!!”

“Why is Chris Brown not on your list 😖.”

“No Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Sterling Brown, Chadwick Boseman but Chrissy Teigen, Anderson Cooper, and Khloe Kardashian, 🤷🏾‍♀️ I need another #Black100”

“No Chadwick Boseman on #Black100 but you got non-black folk on it?”
