Two twins recently turned 102 years old in May and said they still “feel young.”
Ann and Gussie Crumby celebrated their birthdays together on Saturday with friends and family. The two were identically dressed in black shirts and checkered pants.
“When I look around I see her and when she looks around she sees me,” Gussie told WMAZ.
The Crumby sisters were raised on a farm in Hancock County, Georgia with their grandmother.
“We went to a little school. It only had one teacher,” said Gussie.
Over the course of years, the twins went their separate ways and lived two different lives. Ann moved to New York after she got married and never had children. Gussie, on the other hand, moved 32 miles north to Washington County, Ga after settling down with her husband and having children.
The sisters eventually reconnected in the 90’s and have been inseparable since.
“We haven’t been apart so much. We just mostly stay from one place to the other but we mostly stay together,” Gussie explained.
The former seamstresses were happy to be surrounded by family for their birthday and said their age doesn’t phase them.
“I don’t even know I’m old. I still feel young,” Ann said. Gussie chimed in and added, “I don’t feel no different than I did [than] when I was 101.”
