It’s a big day for the Wilson family, because the Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson is on the latest cover of the Wheaties cereal box.
“It is an exciting day for our household,” said Ciara. “Russ, we are so proud of you. He’s on the cover of Wheaties. It’s historic, it’s amazing. … We love you.”
The singer’s son Future also had something to say. “Kids, eat your Wheaties,” he yelled. And Ciara’s daughter Sienna said “Dada” after she was asked who was on the box.
Wilson wasn’t in the clip, but he posted his own video about being on the box from the Seahawks’ CenturyLink field.
Meanwhile, the star quarterback gushed about Ciara in a recent interview and talked about how wonderful a mother she is. The couple has been married for two years after they exchanged vows in an English castle.
“She’s the best mother,” he stated. “She reminds me of my mom. Just how much love she gives to our kids, and to people in general. I’m a warm-hearted person, I think, but when I met her and got to be around her more and more, she made me better. That’s what you want in love, someone who can make you better.”
Wilson also touched on being a stepparent to little Future, and says it gives him a chance to set some good examples.
“That’s the greatest miracle of all. I am super grateful for that,” he explained. “Me being a stepdad too and just being able to lead.”
