A Michigan man is in custody after police say he urinated on a 5-year-old Black girl in an alley Wednesday night.
According to MLive, Grand Rapids police responded to the parents’ home just after 6 p.m. after the couple called to report that a man had urinated on their daughter about 20 minutes earlier. They described the suspect as an older white man, likely in his 60’s.

Cops interviewed witnesses, including a 5-year-old and two 7-year-olds who said the man also called the girl the N-word. Authorities said the victim was uninjured during the incident.
Police were able to go off the witness descriptions and eventually tracked the man down at his home, where he was arrested, the news site reported. The man was taken into custody without incident.
As for the children involved, authorities say detectives with the department’s Family Services Team are working with the city’s Children Advocacy Center to provide them with counseling.
The suspect is currently being held at the Kent County Jail pending prosecutors’ decision on charges. Police are still investigating the incident.
