Ray J. and his wife Princess Love shared a sweet photo of baby Melody on Tuesday and the “Insta Police” came rolling in.
The “Wait a Minute” singer snapped a picture of his wife and daughter sleeping peacefully. Princess was laying on her side while snuggled up in a knitted blanket and their baby girl was laying on her stomach.
The new father wrote, “I’d give my life for you both!! You’re all i got!

However, Princess and Ray’s heartwarming picture of their daughter quickly went left as fans blasted the parents for letting Melody sleep on her “tummy”.
“That’s not safe she should only be on her stomach when it’s tummy time,” one person wrote.
Another person added, “Y’all being careless! No baby should sleep on their belly at all! Poor thing not breathing right.”
“I’ve lost a nephew to SIDS. This picture scares me. But she’s a beauty.”
Other fans jumped to the couple’s defense and responded to critics.
“Princesslove!!! Don’t let folks get to you!! YOU THE MAMA! I let all my 3 sleep that way. Y’all baby is already far advanced than some you can tell.. she’s very smart.”
“Ya’ll need to mind yo damn business 🤦🏾♀️ worrying about how her baby sleeping.”
Love addressed the negative comments and swiftly silenced naysayers.
“Calm down people we only let her sleep on her stomach when we’re watching her… Ray is always watching us sleep.”
The parents welcomed their two-month-old daughter into the world on May 22. Ray J. wrote on his social page, “Proudest DAD on the planet! … Can’t explain the feeling — no words could mean it! I understand what parents feel now and why the love and bond is from God above!”
The “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” couple have been married for almost two years. They tied the knot in 2016 at the Vibiana in Los Angeles.
