Conservative pundit Candace Owens was met by a crowd of angry protesters Monday who hurled profanities and insults at her while she dined at a local Philadelphia restaurant, Fox News reported.
Owens, communications director for right-wing nonprofit Turning Point USA, was enjoying breakfast at the Green Eggs Café with organization founder Charlie Kirk when protesters, allegedly aligned with anti-fascist group Antifa, gathered outside and started harassing them.
A 2-minute video of the encounter posted on Owens’ Twitter page shows demonstrators screaming and blowing whistles in the conservative commentators faces as they flee the restaurant. At one point, a female protester shoves a bullhorn in Owens’ face as another pours water down the front of Kirk’s shirt, soaking it.
“F–k white supremacy! F–ck white supremacy!” they chanted loudly, some screaming at the top of their lungs. ” … 1-2-3, f–k the bourgeoisie. 4-5-6, f–ck the bourgeoisie!”

In another clip, Philadelphia police officers are seen frantically trying to disperse the crowd as Kirk and Owens make their way through the raucous protesters. Owens thanked officers, who she described as Black and Latino, for helping them safely escape the “all-white fascist organization,” and likened the experience to something straight out of the 1960s civil rights era.
“Was this picture of a white Democrat using a megaphone to shout violent rhetoric into the ear of a Black woman taken in 1965?” she tweeted. “NOPE! It was taken today, folks … A picture is worth a thousand words.”
Kirk and Owens are latest conservatives to be publicly harassed by protesters angry over their unabashed support for President Donald Trump. Earlier this year, demonstrators ran Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C. while White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was refused service at a Virginia eatery.
On Monday, Kirk criticized Democratic leaders for not condemning the anti-fascist “mob.”
“Why won’t Democrat leaders denounce these ANTIFA thugs?” he tweeted. “This is the new base of the Democrat party. They hate America and will go to violent measures to attack conservatives. This is [Maxine Water’s] America — she called for these sort of attacks.”
