23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams, posted a video of herself teaching 11-month-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian to be bilingual.
Williams learned to speak multiple languages including Spanish, Italian and French. So it was no surprise that she was teaching her daughter to speak more than one language. The 36-year-old took to Instagram Storyon Wednesday and gave fans a glimpse of precious Olympia learning French.
The 11-month-old was having fun playing in the dog’s water bowl and the new mom told her daughter, “Lave les mains (wash your hands).” Williams noted in a joking manner, “Oh là là!” The athlete wrote over the post, “Now I have to give her a bath.”
Fans were head over heels at the adorable video of Olympia and commended Williams for teaching her daughter to be bilingual at such a young age.
“Start foreign language early that’s the way to do it,” one of the star’s fans commented.
“Well done mama,” another added.
“Awwwwwww 😂😂 too cute.”
“This just makes me love [Serena Williams] even more!!”
One person gushed at Olympia being able to walk, “Omg the cutest ever wow I can’t believe she’s already walking it seems like she was born only a couple of wks ago, are kids are growing up to darn fast!!!”
Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian, the founder of Reddit, welcomed their baby girl into the world in September 2017.
The athlete has been extremely vocal about her motherhood journey. Williams revealed how hard it was to stop breastfeeding her daughter when she was six months old.
“‘Look, I’m going to stop. Mommy has to do this.’ I cried a little bit, not as much as I thought I was,” she said.
The tennis star has posted several photos of her daughter all over her social media and is clearly a proud mom. She wrote on her Instagram in May, “Not sure what I did to deserve her.”
