Don’t call it a comeback, but “Living Single” may be making a return television. Actress Erika Alexander gave her fans a pretty big tease about a possible reboot.
Alexander, whose role was Maxine attorney-at-law on the hit show, posted a video on Instagram hinting at a return of the show. In the video she said, “Anybody know how to reboot this?,” as she winks and points to a computer in front of her. Her caption said, “Anyone need a REBOOT?!? ; ) #maxineshaweffect #reboot #livingsingle#nowarranty.”
Fans quickly caught on.
“I’ve always dreamt of being on an episode of living single. You guys are so amazing. I really hope for this reboot 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽”
“Still my absolute fav!! And Max is my fav character!! Y’all need to come on & don’t play with us & do only 1 season either…we need more”
“Do it!! Please do it!!! And where are auditions for the silhouette dancers in the background lmbo! 🤣 Seriously”
Fans were stunned by Alexander’s tease because earlier this year she stated that she did not want any part of a “Living Single” reboot. “I think it’s great people are nostalgic for things in the past, maybe for good reason. It happens,” she said on “The Breakfast Club” back in March. But she continued and said, “But for me, I always tried to be honest and said that if my film and television career had been a lot better, I might not have any problem dipping my toe back into that water and going and doing the Max character.” Then she said, “But for me … time is so finite. You have so little time. I think I just want to see if I can do other things. And see if I can get people as happy for me or into a different character in a different way.” Fans are crossing their fingers.
