Baltimore Police Department Reviewing Video of Cop Threatening to Send Teen to the Hospital

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating an incident after a cop threatened to beat the “s**t” out of a teenage boy.

A heated confrontation broke out between a Maryland officer and a young boy on Wednesday afternoon. Police were responding to a call they received about a burglary in Maryland’s Belair-Edison neighborhood.

A bystander’s video showed one of the officers trying to grab the teen while his mother screams, “Don’t touch my kid.” The second officer was holding back the 13-year-old boy’s sister. Sources don’t know what escalated the confrontation between the boy and the cop.

The officer forcefully brought the 13-year-old on the ground and allegedly punched him. The bystander recording the incident asked, “What you punching him for?” The officer responded back, “Because he tried to squeeze my testicles.”

The cop put the young boy in handcuffs and placed him in the patrol unit. The Baltimore officer slammed the door before storming off and said, “Yo, I’m about to send this kid to the fu**ing hospital.” He added, “If I see him again I’m gonna beat the s**t out of him.”

T.J. Smith, the spokesman of the Baltimore Police Department told WBFF and other news outlets on Thursday that the Office of Professional Standards is currently investigating the incident. They plan on reviewing the officer’s body camera footage and the bystander’s video.

“We take these matters very serious and Commissioner Tuggle has demonstrated his commitment to transparency and accountability,” Smith said according to the Baltimore Sun. “This case is being reviewed by the Office of Professional Standards as we speak and that would include the video clips taken by civilians and posted to social media as well as the police officers’ Body Worn Cameras that we hope provide a more conclusive version of events from start to finish.”

Smith added that the situation was “clearly a very hectic and chaotic scene that officers were dispatched to.”

The video has been viewed countless times and has over 1.4k shares.
