Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker continue to hustle as the duo makes progress on the second Old Lady Gang restaurant location.
“All right, once again this is Todd’s vision,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star says in a portion of her Instagram Story Thursday, July 26. “This is not looking like much right now but give us a couple more weeks.”
If viewers listen closely, they can hear Tucker refer to the construction site as “Old Lady Gang 2.”
Burruss’ sneak peek of the new location comes after Tucker posted an image of a line wrapped around the corner of the original OLG spot on Peters Street in Atlanta.
“Over a year later and lines are still down the block! Thank you for all the support! God is good!” Tucker said on the July 15 post.
Burruss and Tucker’s trials and tribulations while getting their restaurant business off the ground was documented on RHOA during season 8. By March of 2018, with OLG celebrating its first year of business, Burruss hinted at Bravo TV personality Andy Cohen that a second location was coming. She told the “Watch What Happens Live” host things were in the “beginning stages.”
And this past spring, Burruss confirmed that the location was still on the way while taping the season 10 RHOA reunion, which aired in April.
“It’s still in Atlanta, a great location, and [I] can’t wait to see how the city responds to the new space,” Kandi told The Daily Dish. “I hope they come and support the second location just as much as they supported the first because the first OLG is off the chain, OK? That line stays down the street. The wait list is long.”
In the meantime, folks online have been raving about the cuisine at the eatery founded using the recipes of Burruss’ aunts and mother.
“Best French toast ever had and the chicken was amazing.”
“Great experience! Nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend visiting.”
“By far one of the best restaurants in the South. It reminded me [of] on being at my grandma’s house but she outdid herself and upgraded her cooking.”
