Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Mike Bivins and Ricky Bell — also known as RBRM — just uploaded their fall tour schedule to Instagram and fans are still asking about Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill.
Just four of the New Edition members are hitting the road in September after doing several shows this summer. RBRM will kick off a 23-city tour in Ontario, Canada beginning Sept. 6 and wrap things up Nov. 10 in Miami.
“The countdown to #RBRM aka #BobbyBrown & #BellBivDeVoe has begun!” DeVoe said on his Thursday, July 26 post. “We’re coming your way starting Sept 6th!! 1 band! 1 show! All the classic hits! More cities to be added SOON.”
But fans are still wondering how the group could perform “the classic hits” without all the classic members.
“Where’s Johnny and Ralph? I want all my boys together. 😢 come on guys do it for the fans.”
“Bring back Rizz!!! @therealralphtresvant.”
“Where is Ralph and Johnnie?? You know what NVM, 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤔🤔.”
“Where’s Ralph and Johnnie?🤔.. I’m still a supporter of all though, no matter if they’re together or apart.”
“Johnny not coming tho he an outsider.”
Back in May, it was announced that only a few members of NE were going to tour together this year, and Gill and Tresvant were not included. Ahead of the news, Bivins posted on Instagram that internal strife has caused the group not to tour together as although he had promised after the 2017 BET Awards.
“We all felt like the victim at times in our long career and sometimes, it rears its head at the wrong time and last year was God’s time for us to smell our roses and to do what we do best — entertain, he said.
“I’m on record this morning on behalf of Orchard Park Projects, Boston, [founder] Maurice Starr, ‘Candy Girl’ and all that have participated and worked for this organization. I will do my part and talk and open up communication to get this ish back on track Ralph, Ricky, Ronnie, Bobby, Johnny & [choreographer] Brooke [Payne]. With love and honor and respect at the table, God can do his work Good am & God Bless Michael L. Bivins #Bivfam and my big brothers.”
