Kandi Burruss embarked on a major business venture of opening a restaurant a few years ago and a year after Old Lady Gang opened, crowds are still packing in.
The songstress’ husband Todd Tucker recently shared an update on the Atlanta establishment on Instagram and it looks like long waits are still a major thing as folks continue to check out the eatery.
“Over a year later and lines are still down the block! Thank you for all the support! God is good!” Tucker said on IG July 15.
Burruss herself was delighted by the news.
And the comments left in the TV producer’s comments back up the notion that the food is worth visiting the packed restaurant.
“Word travels fast when you have excellent food & customer service 💯.”
“Made it n and had to park up the street but the short walk was worth it. Food was amazing n the entertainment top notch. Can’t recall his name but he did the hook on Tupac’s cut. Dude can sing. Really had a great time.”
“My cousins are here from California and said that’s number 1 on the bucket list. The OLD LADY GANG RESTAURANT!!!!”
Burruss began plans to open up the restaurant back in 2015 and gave fans a glimpse into the hard work it takes to get one off the ground during season 8 of RHOA.
Once the spot opened, fans began making it a point to stop in and have a southern meal based on the recipes of Burruss’ mom and aunts. And by April, the singer revealed plans to open up a second location.
“It’s still in Atlanta, a great location, and [I] can’t wait to see how the city responds to the new space,” Kandi told The Daily Dish during a taping of the season 10 reunion this spring. “I hope they come and support the second location just as much as they supported the first because the first OLG is off the chain, OK? That line stays down the street. The wait list is long.”
