Fans of political analyst Angela Rye had her back Tuesday when conservative firebrand head Tomi Lahren tried to come for the fiery CNN commentator. She was ultimately shut down, however.
Lahren, an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump and all things right-wing, took shots at Rye over her support for the rights of undocumented immigrants. The social media tiff unfolded after Rye criticized former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee after he tweeted out an outwardly racist message targeting House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
“You’re racist AF,” Rye wrote of Huckabee’s post, which featured a photo of heavily-tattooed Latino gang members purporting to be members of Pelosi’s new campaign committee. “You traffic in fear by otherizing folks. Your biggest concern about border crossings is being out-numbered. It is about people who are more likely to vote for progressives than to endorse your bigotry.”

That’s when Lahren chimed in, and the back-and-forth began.
Hey Cousin Angela, illegals aren’t able to vote but I understand that’s what your party is banking on which is why you’re on a crusade to demonize border patrol agents. Keep talking, you and Mad Maxine are helping Trump get elected every time you open your mouth! https://t.co/3pS4u23poI

Rye’s quick clap back sent her supporters into a tizzy, as fans praised the commentator for silencing the conservative Twitter villain. Many pegged Lahren as a “flea market” version of former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly while others likened her to an unwanted sofa left on the side of the road.

Rye’s comment also sparked a debate over whether the commentator had a right to be upset over Lahren referring to her as “cousin” when it’s a part of her Twitter name.

My point is that once you make something your label in a place meant for EVERYONE, you’re giving license for that label to be used by EVERYONE, not just those you feel comfortable sharing that label with.

Meanwhile, Lahren had this to say.
Nah I’m good standing, thanks. Seriously though, your efforts on behalf of Trump 2020 are appreciated. MAGA! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 https://t.co/Aef74XazGV
