50 Cent has been a major troll for years now, and he’s often walked the line of humor and offensiveness quite successfully. But not this time.
On Tuesday (June 26), he posted a couple of Terry Crews memes and made fun of the actor for allegedly getting sexually assaulted by Hollywood agent Adam Venit.
Earlier that day, Crews spoke about sexual assault in front of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and became pretty emotional. At one point, he was asked why he didn’t use his size and physical strength to retaliate against the agent, and the actor said as a Black man in America, he could’ve easily lost his success, freedom or his life.
“I’m from Flint, Mich.,” said Crews, as he held back tears. “I have seen many young Black men who were provoked into violence, and they were in prison or they were killed.”
After the actor’s testimony, people flooded his Instagram page with positive words, and that’s when 50 began to mock him.
“LOL, What the f–k is going on out here, man?” he wrote. “Terry: ‘l froze in fear.’ They would have had to take me to jail … I got raped. My wife just watched.”
People didn’t take any time at all to blast the rapper and call him the lowest of the low.
“50 Cent is trash and has been trash,” one person tweeted. “Those two posts he made about Terry Crews, disgusting.”
“50 Cent is trash and has been for a while,” another person wrote. “He’s disgusting and perpetuates rape culture, and he hasn’t had a hit since ‘03. He better apologize to Terry Crews, and people that found what he said funny are just as stupid.”
Kelechi Okafor, one of the producers on 50’s show “Power,” called him out as well. “Toxic masculinity @50cent,” she wrote. “Childish.”
Crews also responded to the rapper after he was asked about the memes and chose not to get into a war of words.
“I love 50 Cent,” said Crews. “I listen to his music while I’m working out. It proved that size doesn’t matter when it comes to sexual assault.”
After the backlash, 50 removed the memes but posted another message that he also got criticized for.
“Man l like Terry Crews, l just can’t wrap my head around all this,” he wrote.

On a real though, what happened to @terrycrews isn't funny at all. @50cent needs to act like he got some gaddam sense and know that sexual assault isn't something you mock someone about. And notice it's the women supporting Terry. Men were are you?
