Spice was getting her life as she soaked in her idol Nicki Minaj performing at the 2018 BET Awards Sunday night and even made a little time to spotlight fellow “Love and Hip Hop” franchise stars Remy Ma and Papoose to throw some shade.
“First time watching my idol live performance @nickiminaj KILLED the BET Awards #B—-IBeenOn,” Spice, whose given name is Grace Hamilton, captioned the clip of her rapping along as Minaj performs “Chun-Li” June 24.
But the shade came in the last 7 seconds of the clip as the chorus blared out and Spice panned the camera toward Remy — who feuded with Minaj last year — and her husband, fellow rapper Papoose.
After putting the camera on Remy and her hubby as they watched on, Spice added insult to injury as she stuck her tongue out as a sort of wink, wink, nudge, nudge to the camera.
Fans quickly caught on to the messiness and chimed in with mixed responses.
“VIDEO OF THE YEAR 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 HELLA FUNNY.”
“Lost so much respect for @spiceofficial smh.”
“She outchea worried about Queen Rem, while she should’ve actually been worried about that Kylie Jenner lipgloss outfit she got on!”
“Ur so petty 😭.”
“Tacky and common u r for what u tried to pull smh.”
“Yoooooooooo did anybody see rem an app!!!! Lmaoooo 😂 you funny spice!!!”
Also chiming in on the clip was Minaj herself, although she didn’t acknowledge the shade.
“I’m obsessed with you,” she commented.
“@nickiminaj I’m obsessed with you too. YOU KILLED IT BLOOODCLAAT Clean [sweep] 💙💙💙 #barbforlife.”
A beef between Remy and Minaj emerged last March when the “Love and Hip Hop New York” star dropped a diss track called “Shether” about the “Barbie Tings” rapper. Remy told Wendy Williams at the time that it was Minaj who started the feud by blatantly disrespecting female MCs who had come before her. Weeks later, Minaj released a response to Remy titled “No Frauds.” However, the track was widely panned.
Things eventually settled until that June, when it appeared the beef would rev up again after Minaj posted a video that many believed to be a dig at Remy.
“Attention! This is how bad b—-es leave London and go to Prague,” Minaj exclaimed. “You b—-es can’t even spell Prague!”
