Randy Jackson says his sister, Janet Jackson, called the police to get a welfare check on her 1-year-old son after a tip from a nanny.
Randy told Entertainment Tonight Sunday, June 3 that while the “No Sleep” singer’s baby, Eissa Al Mana, was in the care of his father in Malibu, Calif., a nanny on hand to help got spooked by Al Mana’s allegedly aggressive behavior.
That’s when the nanny called the cops on Janet’s estranged husband.
Janet’s brother said the nanny was “terrified by his behavior and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet.”
The entertainment news source said the singer wasn’t on the scene.
Sources told TMZ that police showed up to the Nobu Hotel but didn’t see anyone in danger. Police are said to have told Janet and Al Mana to handle the issue cordially.
Aside from Al Mana’s supposed aggression, a police source told TMZ Monday that Janet was concerned about her soon-to-be ex-husband using drugs around their young son.
Janet wed Al Mana in a secret 2012 ceremony. She welcomed her first child with him in January 2017 and the two split months later.
The divorce quickly turned nasty.
“She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,” a source told Page Six in April 2017 of how the star had to cover up on stage. “It drove her crazy and she felt she was losing her fan base.”
A source claimed to Radar Online that Al Mana had been abusive toward Janet, forcing her to be imprisoned and abandoning her, too. However, the insider said the Qatari billionaire contended that she had been abusive by dissing his skills as a husband and father.
It was said Janet wanted sole custody of their son in the battle that Radar reported as a $250 million divorce.
