Officer Shouts ‘Pretend Like We’re Going to Shoot You’ to Woman During Traffic Stop

A video showing a Houston officer ordering a Black woman and three individuals to step outside a vehicle after being stopped by authorities next to a nearby Walgreens pharmacy has gone viral, KTRK reported.

The incident was caught on video by motorist Denee Harris who was in the surrounding area. The police officer yells over the loudspeaker to the Black woman driving the blue Nissan SUV to turn around and put her hands up. What the officer said next shocked Harris and left her in disbelief.

“Hands up! Put your hands up. Over your head! Pretend like we’re going to shoot you,” the authority said.

“Why would he say that?” Harris can be heard asking in the background of the video. The driver then walks backward with her hands behind her head where the officers are standing.

Houston police then demanded the other three passengers to exit the car and one of the riders were on crutches. An officer then grabbed one of the crutches away from the passenger and slammed it on the ground.

No reason has been given for the traffic stop or the arrests.

“I was so scared. I didn’t know how it was going to end,” Harris told Storyful News. The video has received over 160,00 views.

The Houston Police Department told KTRK that are fully are aware of the viral video and conducting an investigation.
