Idris Elba has a few words for those who hated on fiancée Sabrina Dhowre’s royal wedding look.
The actor on Monday, posted an Instagram selfie of him and his soon-to-be-bride en route to see Meghan Markle and Prince Harry become Duchess and Duke of Sussex on Saturday, May 19.
“Sabbi: How do I look?” Elba wrote of some purported dialogue between the couple. “Me: You look beautiful Sabbi!! Let’s go see Harry and Meghan get married and make history.
Sabbi: Boom👊🏾. Me:👊🏾 @sabrinadhowre I love you. @!@@ the haters..#Happiness.”
When Dhowre, a model, showed up to the wedding on Elba’s arm, many people deemed her full Gucci outfit too casual for a high-profile wedding.
“Did Sabrina Dhowre really wear all Gucci to the royal wedding?” someone tweeted over the weekend. “And not even subtle or classy. NOT the time or place, sis. Just tacky 😩.”
“Sis, you get invited to a royal wedding and you dress like you’re going for brunch😢 SHE DISAPPOINTED AT THE MET GALA TOO!!” another person said.
“Sabrina Dhowre took Gucci gang to another level. Bismillahhhh. I cannot deal,” a royal wedding watcher said. “I’m not even hating. I just can’t wear Gucci top to bottom. I can only wear one item at a time. This is too much and she needs to fire her stylist 🤷♀️.”

However, Elba thought different and his clap back was met with acclaim from his fans.
