After Camille Cosby Calls for Review of Husband’s DA, Wendy Williams Wants Probe Into Her

Wendy Williams is none too pleased with Camille Cosby for sticking by husband Bill Cosby’s side amid his conviction.

A week after the veteran comedian was found guilty on three counts of aggravated sexual assault, Camille issued a statement saying the media and accusers led her husband to be labeled guilty.

“This is mob justice, not real justice,” Cosby’s wife of 54 years said Thursday in her three-page statement. “This tragedy must be undone not just for Bill Cosby, but for the country.”

After drawing comparisons to the 1955 lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till and deeming her husband’s accusers a “lynch mob,” Camille also called for a criminal investigation of the district attorney.

“Camille, let it go. Let it go,” Williams says on the May 3 airing of her talk show. “I want a criminal investigation into Camille and what you’ve known all these years. … And at the very least, why are you talking now? You should have been showing up in court with your man from day one when he was going to court.”

Williams added that Cosby shouldn’t be in jail, but rather on house arrest with “a couple of ankle bracelets” in a place he should pay for. Additionally, Williams said taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for his guards and that he should eat prison meals while sleeping on a thin prison-like mattress.

“Clap if you think Camille is doing the right thing,” the host asks her audience before a few tepid rounds of applause.

“Get out!” she jokes.

As for Williams’ at home audience, they also had some words for the Cosbys.

“Camille Cosby needs to have several seats,” one person said. “Girl you been knowing, you stayed for the money.”

“Yup, she’s the perfect wife for this kind of predator,” another wrote.

“Not only should the mattress be hard as in prison but [he should have] those thick fleece, scratchy blankets and thin pillows.. all on his dime!” someone else said.
