Former RHOA Star Kim Zolciak Skewered Online After Making Shocking Claim About Racism

After “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion concluded, Kim Zolciak-Biermann made some stunning claims about Black women and racism.

While she didn’t have a peach this season, the former full-time cast member has been the sole white woman on the long-running Bravo series. So when castmembers NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and Shereé Whitfield explained her deeming Leakes’ home a “roach’s nest” was racist, the “Don’t Be Tardy” star got defensive.

“You’re reaching. Reaching,” Zolciak-Biermann said on season 10’s reunion episode Sunday, April 22. “Don’t try it. It has nothing to do with the projects or none of that s—. A roach is a roach.”

While venting to producer and reunion host Andy Cohen about how she felt ganged up on during the reunion, Zolciak-Biermann burst into tears.

“You know why you have not found another white woman to sit on that mother f—–? Because nobody is dumb enough to do that!” she said of other white women joining the cast before sobbing to Whitfield about her lack of support. “Put yourself in my shoes — five African-American women — just f—ing hammered! I couldn’t even speak, my mind’s a f—ing whirlwind!”

Then, Zolciak-Biermann, who has fiercely defended herself as not racist throughout #RoachGate, made a statement that landed her in hot water with Twitter users.

“This whole racism thing in this day in age is bulls— Everyone of those mother f—— on that couch owes this world a f—ing apology for this racism s—,” she says. “They already tried to claim that s— long ago. Nobody bought into it then because the social media wasn’t there and racism wasn’t f—ing all that real. You know it.”

The response from social media was explosive.

“Kim Zolciak you were really trying to defend yourself as not being a racist,” someone began. “However, you want to tell Andy that five ‘African American Women’ attacked you. You did not have to use their race. They ‘all’ have names last time I checked. Your statement clearly sounded racist. #RHOA”

“Kim Zolciak is the prime example of white people getting to where they want to be on the backs of Black people,” someone else said. “She’s racist as hell, yet used the #RHOA platform to get where she is today. We really have to be careful on who we let into our spaces. 😣😤.”

Still, Zolciak-Biermann has some backers.

“IF @Kimzolciak thinks racism didn’t exist b4 [so much] she is more ignorant & clueless but that doesn’t make her racist,” someone said. “Neither does her referring to five women as Black if the topic is about racism. If that description was random [then] yeah. People need  to stop watering down the word racist. #rhoa.”

“Shame on Bravo for making @Kimzolciak out to be a racist,” another tweeted. “Bravo deserves the beating for this along with @NeNeLeakes who was friends with her for how many years? Yet she’s racist?!?”

However, the majority of users were not in her corner.

“As someone that was a huge @Kimzolciak fan, I’m still fuming after last night, over her racist, blindly entitled privileged rant,” a user said. “#RHOA Kim needs to apologize and make it up to the Black community for her ignorant words, and not even try to excuse or justify herself.”

“#RHOA @Kimzolciak thank you for that last 30 seconds you just buried yourself and revealed yourself as the racist piece of trailer trash that you are,” another person fired off. “You about to be tardy for a paycheck.”

“To say five Back woman aggressively attacked you was very racist @Kimzolciak do you not hear what you say #RHOA. They were not attacking you,” someone else said. “You just can’t take when you are in the wrong. Yet you try throwing shade like you are one of the Black girls.”
