Following news that Colin Kaepernick’s meeting with the Seattle Seahawks had been postponed after he declined to say if he would stand for the national anthem, former ESPN host Jemele Hill weighed in on the response from self-proclaimed patriots.
An NFL source told ESPN Thursday, April 13 that the Seahawks made no final decision and they were still considering bringing Kaepernick in for a tryout. By Friday, however, Stephen Morris was signed as a backup quarterback over the free agent.
Hill later tweeted in response, “Me, watching the people who said Colin Kaepernick wasn’t in the league because he’s not a good enough football player flip their argument to, ‘it’s a business decision.'”

Then, a Donald Trump supporter took a dig at Hill, claiming she and her co-host Michael Smith got fired from “SC6.” In actuality, the two opted to exit the program.

Not one to be easily shut down, Hill hit back with a reply that led her followers to swiftly back her up.

“Jemele, you can’t keep dropping the mic on ’em 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” someone said in response.
“Why are these nuts continuing to come for Jemele? Don’t they know her snapback game is legendary 🤣,” another tweeted.
“Women scare them. Black women scare them even more,” another wrote. “Educated Black women scare them the most. That’s why they do it.”
“Tell him Jemele,” another said. “You’ll chill at the Eiffel Tower while he’ll continue to hate and maybe mud ride in the woods somewhere.”
Meanwhile, the haters are still following you and commenting 😭😂
